Biography

Despite being born in the U.K., I am not actually British, thank god (I don’t like mushy peas enough to have survived living there). I grew up in Massachusetts and attended Emerson College to study writing for television and women’s, gender and sexuality studies. My goal is to write television comedies that make underrepresented groups feel as seen as I did when I watched shows with characters like me in them growing up. By the way, if you’re a future employer, that’s a mocktail in that picture. Unless you drink all the time at this job, in which case it totally isn’t.

Who actually are you??? (Great question)

Outside of writing, I love walking, podcasts, indoor rock climbing, alt fashion, improv comedy, simulation video games, science fiction, and getting way too deep into the worldbuilding of kids’ media. Oh, and I’m nonbinary (they/them), if you couldn’t tell from my haircut.

Fun fact: an employee working at the hotel I’m at here basically made me take this picture because she liked my outfit so much. Closest I’ve ever come to being a model.

  • I love writing smart comedies and/or science fiction. I’d describe my work as an intersection between the warmth of Michael Schur sitcoms, the complex characters of something like Hacks or Tuca and Bertie, and speculation about the future. Please feel free to get in touch and request a sample.
